So, you didn't get your copy of the 2016 Rosewood Calendar? That's too bad, because they've all been snatched up! But, hey, we will upload each month's photo right here on our blog so that you don't miss out! Deal?
Market Street Bridge, Harrisburg, PA
The original Market Street bridge was the first to span the Susquehanna River. After it washed away in a flood, a replacement was constructed in 1905 and widened in 1926, remaining to this day.
The columns on the Harrisburg side are reclaimed from the old State Capitol building which burned in 1897.

On Thursday, August 5, 2015, Matt, Mike, and I were exploring Harrisburg to feature the Susquehanna River in the 2016 Rosewood Marketing calendar. Around 7:30 pm, while south of the Market Street Bridge, I set up my camera and tripod to capture the sun setting behind the bridge.
By compositing multiple images taken at various exposures, I was able to capture detail in both the sky and the bridge. Setting the lens to the small aperture of f/16 produced the starburst effect, which is caused by light diffracting around the aperture blades of the lens.
